Mark Lowman Psychotherapist (MNCPS Acc.) Hypnotherapist (DIP HYP CS.)

I’m Mark—a qualified and compassionate therapist committed to helping people find clarity, calm, and connection. If you are struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, I provide a safe space for you to talk, reflect, and grow.. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to offer a safe space to talk, reflect, and grow.

My Background and Qualifications

I hold a Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling and am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). Additionally, I am a registered member of the National Hypnotherapy Society, which enhances my expertise in hypnotherapy.

My training allows me to address a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges in a supportive, ethical, and confidential manner, ensuring complete security and trust in my professional conduct.

While academic knowledge is important, I believe that my previous practical experience in the financial services sector has given me a deep understanding of high-pressure environments and the psychological challenges they can present. This insight enriches my current practice in psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, enabling me to better support individuals facing similar situations.

How I Work

My approach is integrated and flexible—drawing from different therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic theory, and Person-Centred counselling. This means I tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs, enabling flexibility rather than following a rigid one size fits all structure. Whether you need practical strategies, space for reflection, or deeper insight, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you.

I offer online therapy, designed to fit your lifestyle.

My Values

At the heart of my work is the belief that change is possible when we feel truly seen and heard. I aim to create a space where you can talk without fear of judgement—where all parts of you are welcome. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about supporting you to reconnect with your own clarity, strength, and sense of self.

Outside the Therapy Room

I am an inquisitive person who enjoys reflecting on what I hear and read, both in and out of the therapeutic environment. I love reading, going for nature walks—especially in the Chilterns—and occasionally immersing myself in podcasts about music, history, or psychology.
